2 Ways to Style a Sequin Cardigan for NYE

2 Ways to Style a Sequin Cardigan for NYE

Can you believe it? We’re almost to 2023. New Year’s Day is just around the corner and while Denis and I will be ringing in the new year at home I know some of you might be hitting a NYE party or two so I wanted to give you 2 quick and easy ways to style a sequin cardigan for New Year’s Eve. I got this cardigan from Maurices just before the holidays and fell in love with it for two reasons: 1) it’s sparkly and I love shiny things and 2) it’s an easy way to make a simple outfit look festive.

Black and gold never go out of style so one of the easiest pieces you can pair with a gold sequin cardigan is a black tank, cami, or blouse. I had this old tank from Torrid that actually has little specks of gold on it so I thought it went well with the cardigan, but any black top will do fine. Grab your favorite pair of jeans and you’re good to go.

Another quick and easy way to style a sequin cardigan is to simply add more sequins. Layer the cardigan over a sequin tank or top and don some leggings and flats for extra comfort. With this outfit you can dance the night away without being uncomfortable and your feet will thank you later.

Regardless of whether you’re ringing in the new year at a party, with some friends, or cozy at home, be safe, have fun, and be sure to welcome in the new season with a smile. See you in 2023!
