5 Casual Outfits Perfect for Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day weekend is finally here and that means it’s completely acceptable to wear pink, maroon, and every other shade of red you can find. In today’s post I’m giving you 5 outfit ideas that are really easy to put together and perfect for anything you may have planned for V-Day.

Dinner & Movie Heart Sweater

Grabbing dinner and going to see a movie is a total cliche for Valentine’s Day, but I can honestly say that this kind of date is one of my favorites. If you’re going to catch some grub and a good movie with your significant other, try pairing a heart-inspired sweater, some comfortable jeans, and your favorite pair of flats.

Parisian-Inspired Blazer and Beret

I don’t why but Valentine’s Day always reminds me of Paris, France. Maybe it’s because Paris is the City of Light and Love or maybe it’s because I never miss the chance to wear a beret. Either way, you can never go wrong with a red blazer or cardigan, a simple graphic tee, some jeans, and a pair of good flats.

Black & Red Mesh Monochromatic Outfit

You also can never go wrong with black and red, especially for Valentine’s Day. Grab a mesh, see-through top, throw a tank under it, and pair it with some black dress pants. I added some red flats to help bring out the red hearts in the shirt and viola! Instant comfortable and Valentine’s-friendly outfit.

Galentine’s Brunch or Lunch

If you’re spending Valentine’s Day with your girlfriends, you can never go wrong with a striped shirt and a cute headband. Loft and Maurices always has an amazing selection of striped tees that are curvy-size friendly. I paired this one with some black dress pants and my trusty red flats and called it an outfit. This outfit would also be perfect for running errands or just grabbing a coffee with your girls.

Park Picnic Pastels

Out of all of the outfits, this one was probably my favorite because it was the most comfortable. Plus it allowed me to incorporate some pink into this look book. Find a light pink blouse or another pastel color (I found this one at Marshall’s) and pair it with your favorite pair of jeans. I added some pink sneakers and was ready to go. This outfit would be perfect for meeting your friends or a special someone at the park for a little picnic.

No matter what you’ve got planned this Valentine’s Day (or if you don’t have any plans at all) I hope these outfit ideas will inspire you to get a little festive with your wardrobe.

Verse of the Day: There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. We love Him because He first loved us. – 1 John 4:18-19
