Easy Ways to Style Two Walmart Dresses for Midsummer

Walmart has recently been stepping up their dress game. And let me tell you, there’s nothing more satisfying than finding a cute and comfortable dress that’s at an affordable price. I don’t know about you, but I love wearing dresses in the summer. Because I live in Louisiana (where the humidity will slap you in the face), I’m all about finding clothes that are comfortable and breathable.

I found these two dresses at Walmart earlier this summer and have been really enjoying how easy and versatile they are to wear. You can dress them up or leave them casual. And the fact that they keep you cool makes them even better. In this post I’m going to show you some quick and easy ways to style them.

Sizing Info:        Dress Size – 16/18 or XL/XXL               Shoe Size – 10w

This navy blue dress fits true to size and while I do like it, I found that it was a little shorter on me than I normally wear. This might not be a problem for you, but I’m 5’7” so I have trouble finding pieces to be long enough sometimes. I remedied that problem by putting on a pair of white pants and some neutral sandals. Because the dress is navy, neutral colors like white, beige, and khaki go great with it.

There’s just something about wearing pink gingham in the summer. This next dress is a Barbie girl’s dream. Not only is it pink gingham – it also comes in pink stripe, blue stripe, and navy gingham print. The ruffled collar and flutter sleeves are nice accents that are surprisingly lightweight and don’t weigh the top of the dress down. Like the navy one, it’s true to size but a little short, so I wore it with white jeans.
