A Makeup Collection that’s the Bee’s Knees: Colourpop’s Roaring Hearts Collection Review

A Makeup Collection that’s the Bee’s Knees: Colourpop’s Roaring Hearts Collection Review

Although it’s officially 2022 this Colourpop collection has me in a 1920s state of mind. Colourpop released their Roaring Hearts Collection at the end of 2021 but it’s so good that I just had to share some of my favorites from it this year.

The Roaring Hearts eyeshadow palette is definitely my top pick – I wore it nonstop during the Christmas and New Year season because it’s full of neutral, approachable mattes and shimmers. I also really love the shade names – Fancy That, Nightlife, Foxtrot, Cafe Society – each one is perfect for a Roaring 20s themed collection.

Another of my favorites from this collection are the Super Shock Shadows. There’s four in the collection – Deco Days, Avant Garde, Gin Rickey, and Golden Age. They range from champagne to bronze to gold to charcoal and each one makes the perfect eyeshadow topper because they can add just the right amount of sparkle and shine to any look.

The collection also includes two loose highlighters – In the Groove and Charleston. Both highlighters have a soft, velvety-smooth texture that leave you with a sheeny glow on the cheeks. In the Groove is an icy champagne while Charleston is a soft rose gold.

The Roaring Hearts Collection also offers three liquid eyeliners to choose from – Lovefool (an inky black), Party Crush (a rose gold), and Had to be You (a soft gold). I love using these liquid liners because they have a fine, thin brush that make it easy to draw a straight line without any skipping. I also really like that they stay put all day and don’t fade or smudge.

While there are a number of eye products to choose from in this collection, the lip products are not to be missed. Each of them are absolutely stunning. There are 8 new Fresh Kiss Lip Laquers in total that come in a wide range of colors perfect to wear in the Winter and Fall. Bu what makes these lip products so unique is that they’re made of a hybrid formula of liquid lipstick and lip gloss but they’re not sticky. Each lipstick is packed with antioxidants to help nourish and soften your lips throughout the day and they have ingredients such as Vitamin E, Gogi Berry, and Mango Butter.

I’ve always been fascinated by the 1920s and I think that Colourpop did an excellent job of capturing the essence of this era with this collection. From the packaging to the shade names to the colors – everything makes you feel like you’ve stepped into the Gilded Age. This is definitely a collection worth checking out.

Verse of the Day: But Jesus looked at them and said, “With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible.” – Mark 10:27
