The temperatures are getting hotter in Central Louisiana and I don’t know about you but that means it’s time to put away the heavy foundations and bring out the lightweight tinted moisturizers. Because the humidity practically quadruples in the summer months my oily/combination skin craves freedom. On the weekends I like to go with as little makeup as possible to let my face breathe – but during the work week I find myself needing a tiny bit of coverage. That’s when I turn to my favorite tinted moisturizers.
When you have oily/combination skin, finding a good tinted moisturizer can be hard to find. For the longest time, I could only find tinted moisturizers that left my face feeling greasy and highlighted my oils. But after much research and reading reviews, I came across these five products and have been in love ever since.

Erborian CC Cream High Definition Radiance Face Cream Skin Perfector – $44.00 🌴
The first product is actually a CC (color correcting) cream but I consider it a tinted moisturizer because of its hydrating formula. It comes from the Korean brand, Erborian, and contains SPF 25. Out of all of the skin tints on this list this one is the most interesting to use because it’s a white cream that blends into your skin tone seamlessly. While it doesn’t have much coverage, it’s very lightweight and leaves you with a skin-like finish. The only downside is that there isn’t much of a shade range – only 3 colors.
Fenty Beauty Eaze Drop Blurring Skin Tint – $29.50 🍉
This skin tint was released earlier this year and it has become one of my all-time favorite face products. I love it so much I actually dedicated an entire review post to it. You can check it out here. The best part of this skin tint is that it gives you a light to medium coverage and smooths your complexion. It also blurs your pores and stays in place all day – even in the scorching, Louisiana heat. Plus it comes in 25 shades that range from fair to deep, so everyone’s covered (no pun intended). 😊
Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream SPF 30 – $33.00 🍍
This tinted moisturizer has become a new favorite of mine. It provides sheer to medium coverage and includes hyaluronic acid as one of its main ingredients so it helps your skin retain moisture. The formula is oil-free and keeps your skin hydrated (hence the name) throughout a long day. It leaves your face with a healthy glow that somehow doesn’t emphasize your oils or make you look greasy. And it also comes in 20 shade choices.
Honest Beauty CC Clean Corrective with Vitamin C Tinted Moisturizer – $21.99 🍑
If you like clean beauty brands then you’ve got to try Honest Beauty. Not only do they offer clean products with vegan, cruelty-free formulas, they offer products that actually work well for all skin types. You can check out some of my favorite Honest Beauty products here. Their Tinted Moisturizer stands out because it contains SPF 30 and Vitamin C and provides blue light defense so your skin is safe while you scroll your phone. Its creamy formula blends into the skin smoothly and doesn’t settle into fine lines, leaving you with a fresh, demi-matte finish.
Laura Mercier Oil Free Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 20 – $47.00 🌸
If you have oily skin and you’ve been looking for a brand that will work well with your skin you should definitely check out Laura Mercier. Her products seem to almost cater to people with oily skin and their Oil Free Tinted Moisturizer is one of the best on the market. It comes in 20 shades and keeps your oils at bay all day long – no matter how high the temperatures get. It stays hydrating and never gets greasy because it contains oil-absorbing powders and licorice root extract as well as Vitamin E to soothe any irritation you may have. Laura Mercier actually updated the packaging and name of this tinted moisturizer – it’s now called the Tinted Moisturizer Oil Free Natural Skin Perfector Broad Spectrum SPF 20 – but it still has the same great formula. Always a crowd pleaser.
