Good Spirits by BK Borison

If stories with magical realism and a dash of spice are your thing, this book will be right up your alley. Harriet York’s life is turned upside down when Nolan Callahan, the Ghost of Christmas Past, shows up out of the blue one holiday afternoon. Harriet hasn’t the slightest clue as to why she’s being haunted but she does know that the more she gets to know Nolan, the more she likes him. Nolan has always been the kind of ghost who gets in, gets out, and moves on, but there’s something about Harriet that has him thinking about the future . . . about a future that includes them together. But that’s impossible, right? As the two of them examine Harriet’s past, they discover that they’re more connected than they originally thought. But with Christmas Eve quickly approaching, can Harriet and Nolan find the key to their future in their pasts?

You Make It Feel Like Christmas by Sophie Sullivan

This next book is perfect for fans of second-chance romance. Maisie Smart, a focused photographer, never expected to see Nick King after their one night stand again, but fate had other plans. When she visits Tickle Tree Christmas Tree Farm with her family, who does she run into but none other than Nick. As it turns out, Nick’s sister owns the farm and while he may just be visiting for the holidays, he can’t shake the feeling that maybe this unexpected encounter could be a chance to make things right with Maisie. Can the forced proximity melt the ice between them? You’ll just have to read and find out.

The Christmas Foundling: A Christmas Regency Romance by Martha Keyes

If a wholesome Christmas read is what you crave, let me introduce you to this next book. Set in Regency England, it follows Lydia Blackburn, the Baroness of Lynham, who wants nothing more than to give her husband, Miles, a child, an heir who can carry on the family name. But after five years of marriage and no results, she’s practically given up on becoming a mother. At his wit’s end and filled with the sting of failure, Miles is looking for answers and hope. When he and his wife find an abandoned baby at the Frost Fair, the Blackburns agree to take the infant in until after Christmas. But the more time Lydia and Miles spend with the child, old feelings come to the surface – feelings that can either bring them together or tear them apart.

Stuck with My Christmas Crush by Francesca Spencer

Confession time – one of the main reasons I picked up this book was because of the cover. The little cottage on the front reminded me of Kate Winslet’s cozy cottage in The Holiday. And while the cover may have captured my interest, the story inside definitely captured my heart. When Charlie’s car breaks down near a dilapidated hotel during a snow storm, she thinks things can’t possibly get worse. Wrong! As the storm worsens, she’s forced to hunker down at the empty hotel gatehouse with a handsome ex-military soldier named Jason and his gigantic dog named Rocko. Tensions are strained on both sides and to make matters even worse, the power goes out. Plunged into darkness with nothing but a wood-burner and candles for light, Jason and Charlie take the time to get to know each other better. But can their feelings turn into something real in time for Christmas? If you clean, closed-door romance is what you’ve been looking for, definitely pick this one up.

The Holiday Swap by Maggie Knox

The next book is a clean, no-spice, feel-good holiday romance. It follows twin sisters Charlie and Cass as they embark on doing something they haven’t done since they were kids – switch places. Charlie is a chef currently serving as a judge on her favorite baking show, but her plans go awry when she gets hid on the head and loses her ability to taste and smell, both crucial for judging. On the other hand, Charlie’s sister, Cass, is trying desperately to run their family’s busy bakery and dealing with her annoying ex. With only days until Christmas, Charlie begs Cass to switch places with her. Cass agrees and the two sisters trade lives for the holidays. Add a hunky, rugged firefighter named Jake and a gorgeous physician assistant named Miguel and you’ve got a love story ideal to curl up with on a cold, winter’s day.

How He Got the Girl by Amanda Schimmoeller

If fake dating is your favorite trope, this next book is perfect. When Mallory Porter and actor Griffin Reynolds first met, sparks flew, but then he ghosted her, hurting Mallory in the process. Three years later, Mallory and Griffin find themselves in a fake dating contract in order to boost Griffin’s image and get some good publicity per his agent’s advice. You see, Griffin’s up for his dream movie role and good publicity can only work in his favor, right? But the more time Mallory and Griffin spend together, the more uncertain she becomes. Is Griffin genuinely stealing her heart or is he a better actor than she gave him credit for? This book is also spice-free and the second book in the Sweeter than Fiction series about four best friends finding love.

Christmas on Fifth Avenue by Julie Caplin

Christmas in New York City, there’s no place like it, which is why it’s the perfect setting for this next book. Evie Green’s holiday is not going to plan. When an embarrassing video of her goes viral, she quickly becomes the laughing stock of the internet. Things only start to look up when a five-star hotel invites her to the Big Apple for Christmas as a PR opportunity. Once she arrives, she’s forced to fake a festive, holiday romance with a disgraced soccer star named Noah for the cameras, but the more they get to know each other, the more sparks begin to fly. Can Fifth Avenue and the Christmas magic of NYC melt the frozen hearts of Evie and Noah?

Cabin Mate: An Under Kansas Skies Special Edition by Leah Brunner

This next book offers a friends-to-lover trope. When Todd loses a bet with his older brother, he thinks he can handle it. Since he lost, Todd can’t go on a date with a woman for FOUR. WHOLE. MONTHS. He can’t even touch a woman. Everything’s going fine until his best friend, Molly (the woman he’s been secretly in love with since college) gets her heart broken just before her sister’s Christmas wedding in Vermont. Thankfully, Todd is her knight in shining armor and offers to be her pretend boyfriend just until the wedding’s over. Simple, right? Well, it is until he’s forced to share a room with her at her family’s cabin. That complicates some things. Can Todd hold up his end of the bet or will the forced proximity force him to finally reveal his true feelings to Molly? Only time will tell.

Christmas at the Ranch by Julia McKay

This last book is a second-chance romance set in the idyllic and picturesque small town of Evergreen. Disgraced and embarrassed by her father’s recent incarceration due to financial fraud, journalist Emory Oakes needs a safe place to go until the damage blows over. With the holidays around the corner, she gets stranded in the little town of Evergreen, a place she spent her happiest of Christmases when she was a teenager . . . and when she fell in love with a handsome local named Tate Wilder on his family’s horse ranch. Everything had been going well between them until it didn’t. Now, ten years later, Emory and Tate’s paths cross again but can their love be rekindled or will it just be a passing trip down memory lane during the joyous time of the year?
