The Classic Sundress

Ok, so if a classic, New England summer is the style of your dreams, this lightweight sundress from Walmart is perfect for you. This dress is 100% cotton and comes in two color options (light blue and black) as well as a range of sizes. With a slightly smocked back and tie straps, it gives you plenty of room and everything you need to adjust the bodice for the ideal fit. An embroidery design is stitched into the top, while the same design can be seen cut out at the bottom of the skirt. It also comes with pockets. Pair it with flat sandals and a woven tote during the day, or dress it up with gold jewelry and wedges for dinner.

The Sailor Striped Dress

When it comes to summer style, Old Navy doesn’t miss, and they definitely didn’t miss with this striped midi dress. With its smocked bodice and adjustable straps, this dress is one you’ll find yourself reaching for again and again because of its versatility. Dress it up with a lightweight cardigan and some flats or dress it down with some sandals and a jean jacket. This one is perfect for brunch dates, vacations, or a laid-back date. Also, is it just me or do the stripes give it a Coastal Grandmother/sailor girl vibe?

The Denim Midi

Every wardrobe needs that one dress you can throw on and instantly feel confident in it. In the summer, lightweight denim dress is a go-to because it can give your silhouette some structure. Whether you’re headed to the beach, exploring a new city, or just dreaming about vacation, a denim midi (especially a white one) dress will always bring that effortless resort feel.

The Smocked Top Winner

Sometimes you just need an easy dress you can wear for coffee runs, errands, or casual weekends. That’s where the smocked top winner comes in. This dress is soft and breathable, easy to wash, and comfortable enough to wear all day. Not only does it come in a variety of colors and patterns, it gives you the ability to put an outfit together without much thought and still end up looking good. Throw a cotton sweater over your shoulders and you’ve got yourself a New England summer-inspired look.

The Whimsical One

If you’re looking to add some more whimsy to your life, try wearing a cute, fruit-covered dress like this one from Maurices. Whimsical fruit prints bring the perfect mix of playful charm and vintage summer romance, making every outfit feel a little sweeter. Pair it with sandals, a woven bag, and golden hour sunshine for the ultimate carefree look.

The American Beauty

You can’t talk about summer without talking about Memorial Day and the 4th of July. With so many holidays to celebrate the USA, a red, white, and blue dress is the perfect style to add to your wardrobe. And nothing says summer like a flowy maxi dress. This one from Natural Life is a great option if you’re going to the beach or a BBQ or just chilling around the house. And the cute bandana pattern gives it an Americana flair you can rock all summer long.
