While I will always recommend applying a sunscreen before your primer, I’ll be doing a separate post for all of my sunscreen recommendations for oily skin, so let’s jump into primer. Honestly, you don’t really need a primer, but if you want to test one out that will help you control shine and gently mattify your skin, the Make Up Forever Step 1 Shine Control Primer is the one for you. It has a lightweight, creamy texture that blends easily and helps minimize the appearance of pores while keeping excess shine at bay. I’ve also found that it extends your makeup wear even in the worst humidity.

Fenty Beauty Eaze Drop Blurring Skin Tint

Next up, I highly recommend this skin tint from Fenty Beauty. If you’re looking for a more lightweight and breathable choice for your base, the Eaze Drop Blurring Skin Tint is the way to go. It provides a blurred, skin-like appearance, and blends seamlessly, making it perfect for those “no makeup” look days. Also, it’s buildable, so you can wear a thin layer or apply more for a fuller coverage. It comes in 25 shades.

Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Foundation

My next recommendation is my holy grail foundation. I wore it for my wedding and every other occasion where I know I’m going to be exposed to the elements for a long time and trust me – it doesn’t budge. It comes in a variety of shades and its oversized doe-foot applicator allows for easy application, suitable for concealing, contouring, and highlighting.

This next product has quickly become one of my favorite setting powders. Patrick Starrr really knew what he was doing when he released the One/Size Ultimate Blurring Setting Powder. This setting powder is a finely milled, loose powder designed to deliver a smooth, airbrushed finish while controlling shine throughout the day. It doesn’t look cakey or patchy and offers up to 24-hour shine control, making it ideal for extended wear without the need for frequent touch-ups.

This next product is one of my favorites because it uses photoluminescent technology to reflect light to create a soft-focus effect that blurs imperfections and adds depth. Its finely milled texture makes it super easy to blend and build, giving soft but defined warmth to the skin. The Hourglass Ambient Lighting Bronzer is ideal for those seeking a luminous, natural-looking bronzer that enhances the skin’s radiance.

Next up is one of my favorite categories – blush. Cream and powder blushes are perfect for people with oily skin because they absorb oil and stay in place and this next product does both. Highlighters can be a little intimidating for someone with oily skin. I mean, you’re trying to avoid shine, not add more, but trust me, even oily skin people can apply some highlighter. The RMS Beauty ReDimension Hydra Dew Luminizer is a clean, gel-to-powder highlighter that delivers a radiant, dewy glow without glitter. Its unique formula combines the nourishing texture of a cream with the light-reflective finish of a powder, making it suitable for various skin types.

Armani Eye Tint Long-Lasting Liquid Eyeshadow

I don’t know about you but in the summer I’m all about easy makeup and this next product is probably one of the easiest I’ve ever tried. The Armani Eye Tint Long-Lasting Liquid Eyeshadow is a lightweight liquid eyeshadow that has a slightly whipped texture, which helps create a smooth application. It dries down quickly, providing a comfortable, budge-proof wear, and comes in a variety of colors and finishes.
