13 Drugstore Products Worth the Money

13 Drugstore Products Worth the Money

A question I get asked often is what makeup products are really good to buy at the drugstore? Good products don’t have to cost a fortune. There are a number of beauty products you can find at CVS, Walgreens, Walmart, and Target, but in today’s post I’m going to share 15 of my favorite ones that I believe are worth the money. If that’s something you’re interested in, just keep reading . . .

Flower Beauty Light Illusion Full Coverage Concealer

If a lightweight concealer that’s perfect for brightening your under eye has been on your list, look no further than Flower Beauty. Their Light Illusion concealer has a creamy, smooth formula that blurs and brightens wherever you blend it. It doesn’t crease and it doesn’t fade. It’s one of my favorite concealers on the market – drugstore and high-end included.

L’Oreal Infallible 24 Hour Fresh Wear Foundation

Drugstore foundations can be a little tricky to buy because there are very few that actually work. Fortunately, L’Oreal released their Infallible 24 Hour Fresh Wear foundation. This foundation is long-wearing, sweat resistant, and transfer-proof. It also comes in 40 shades that range from fair to deep. This is one of the few foundations at the drugstore that people with oily or dry skin can use because it doesn’t leave your skin too matte or dry. It’s a definite 10 out of 10.

L’Oreal Infallible Full Wear Concealer

If you’re looking for a full coverage, long-wearing concealer that won’t make your wallet cry then this is the concealer for you. The formula is kind of thick but easy to blend, especially if you’re in a hurry. Also, it comes in 25 shades. I love this concealer because it doesn’t budge in the Louisiana heat and it doesn’t settle around your nose or dry patches on your face.

Covergirl Clean Matte BB Cream

A really good BB cream to pick up at the drugstore is the Covergirl Clean Matte BB Cream. It works very well with oily skin because it keeps the oils and shine at bay and it has a medium amount of coverage. It’s creamy formula helps smooth and even out the complexion. Plus it’s cruelty-free.

Milani Silky Matte Bronzing Powder

Drugstore bronzers have come a long way and the Silky Matte Bronzer from Milani is no exception. It’s a lightweight powder that blends seamlessly into the skin, giving you a believable, sun-kissed glow. I really like it because it’s very buildable and you can apply a good amount of it without looking muddy. It’s also cruelty-free and vegan.

Flower Beauty Light Illusion Powder

A fantastic pressed powder that’s a total dupe for the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder is the Flower Beauty Light Illusion Powder. This pressed powder blurs out pores and gives you a soft, healthy-looking complexion. It also works very well for touch-ups throughout the day because it does such a good job of controlling shine.

Revlon ColorStay Creme Shadow

When it comes to the drugstore a good eyeshadow can be hard to find, but the Revlon ColorStay Creme Shadows are some of the best. These shadows are highly pigmented and glide on the lid without streaking or skipping. They’re also waterproof and sweat-resistant. I like using them as a base for my powder eyeshadows because they really won’t budge – even in extreme heat and humidity. These are some of my go-to creme shadows in the summertime.

There’s only six shades available but each of them are complementary to all eye colors.

L’Oreal Voluminous Butterfly Mascara

Unlike other beauty products I find that the drugstore has a large selection of mascaras that work very, very well (sometimes even better than high-end ones). One of my favorites is the L’Oreal Voluminous Butterfly mascara because not only is it long-wearing – it separates and holds your lashes all day long to give your lashes maximum volume.

Winky Lux Demi Matte Lipstick

If you’re in need of a matte lipstick that won’t dry out your lips look no further than the Winky Lux Demi Matte lipsticks. They’re formulated with Vitamin E for hydration and they don’t settle into the lines of your lips. I find this lipstick to be long-wearing but not drying and that is a difficult combination to find at the drugstore. They also come in a small amount of colors ranging from nude to pink to red.

Pixi Liquid Fairy Lights Liquid Eyeshadow

Finding glittery eyeshadows that actually look nice on the eye can be hard to find, even in the high-end brands, but Pixi by Petra has managed to create a glitter eyeshadow worth your time. They only come in 4 colors currently, but they’re each approachable shades. Each shadow is formulated with Rosehip and Chamomile that helps to smooth the shadow so it doesn’t crease or fade after a long day.

Maybelline SuperStay Ink Crayon

Lip crayons have become more and more popular recently and while the drugstore has many different kinds the Maybelline SuperStay Ink Crayon is one of the best. These lip crayons are smudge and transfer-proof and they come in over 30 colors. They’re also very pigmented and last pretty well throughout the day.

Flower Beauty Flower Pots Powder Blush

A really good drugstore blush is Flower Beauty’s Flower Pots powder blushes. They come in matte and shimmer shades and leave your cheeks with a soft, warm glow. They’re also long-lasting and won’t fade even on the hottest of days.

Pixi Hydrating Milky Mist

The best way to keep your makeup in place is to top everything off with a setting spray or a face mist. Pixi’s Milky Mist is one of my favorites because it’s lightweight and refreshing. It’s formulated with hydrating ingredients like hyaluronic acid, Vitamin B, and Black Oak Extract. It also absorbs in your skin in seconds and it’s suitable for all skin types.

So there you have it, folks – 13 makeup products that you can find in your local drugstore that are worth your money and worth your time.
